This building was constructed in 1893 to be the Governor’s Residence, and in 1953 was adopted as the Ridgefield Community Center. The building’s exterior was completely renovated in 2001: the original widow’s walk and upper balcony were recreated, the wrap-around porch’s decking, columns, capitals and railings were replaced, restoring the building to its original grandeur.
